How great was Monday night's episode?!?!?!

Lot's of good news coming from Monday night. Chuck's numbers went up this week and that was with first-run episodes running on all the other major networks.

Excellent. All the campaigning must have done something. Even more positive than just the numbers is the fact that Chuck's Demo numbers matched that of NBC's demo numbers for the entire week last week. So this week Chuck could actually end up being above average. Wo0t!

Anyway, about the amazingness that was Chuck vs. The First Kill. I was a bit concerned about Chuck's "First Kill" it just didn't sit right with me, the idea of Chuck actually deliberately killing someone. The good news is, he didn't. He did "the Morgan" (a rather feminine form of cowering) and Uncle Bernie, his nemesis of the moment keeled over from a heart attack. If Chuck was going to "kill" someone...this was definitely the right way to do it. Good job writers. The episode as a whole was just right in my opinion. The right mix of humor, drama, and action. So, I'm sure you've all seen it, but just in case you haven't, go watch it now!!!!

The only thing that might have been better than that episode...the promo for next week's episode...

It's gonna be the best ever. Period.

Yeah, that's right. Use whatever means possible (facebook, myspace, twitter, your blog, whatever) to make sure everyone in the TV-viewing world knows that Chuck is on NBC tonight at 8PM EST.

Finally, a gleam of hope. It appears that Ben Silverman, CEO of NBC is a fan of Chuck himself. That's pretty good news considering he probably has more say in the renew/cancel decision than any other individual.

From the article "Will NBC's Ben Silverman renew Chuck or will he cancel it?"

"If there’s anyone who’d love to see Chuck renewed, it’s NBC Entertainment co-chairman, Ben Silverman. That could be viewed as good news by Chuck fans who are on pins and needles because Silverman theoretically is in a position to save the show. Chuck, is now performing exactly at the average adults 18-49 for all NBC shows (minus the Super Bowl), and typically networks do not cancel average performing shows."

Excellent. There is hope, yet.

Why Save Chuck?

Why the hell not?

I've always liked TV. I've always watched a lot of TV, and there have been quite a few shows that I was sad to see go. The most recent being Pushing Daisies. I loved that show. However, no TV show has ever brought forth such enthusiasm as Chuck has. You could pretty much ask anybody that knows me if I've ever tried to get them to watch Chuck, and the answer will be yes. There are other shows that I love that I don't bother putting forth such an effort for. Why? Two reasons. 1) They already have plenty of viewers and are in no danger of disappearing. B) I know those shows aren't for everyone. Chuck, however, is different, and I'm not the only one who feels this way. The reason why we all love Chuck is because it has something for everyone. Action, drama, comedy, romance, obscure pop culture references, nerdiness, sexiness, electronic retail store antics, wicked cool music. You name it, it's there somewhere. From what I hear there's even supposed to be a flying kitchen sink somewhere in the next few episodes.

So please...if you haven't watched it yet, watch it. If you do watch it, do what you can to save it. Write letters...yes LETTERS as in snail mail...that old school thing involving stamps, envelopes, and a post office. I know it's difficult to use such primitive tools in an age where a guy can carry a football field-sized supercomputer's data in his brain, but we must do it. There's a lot of information over on ChuckTv.net on how to go about it, but the most important thing is the people to send them to:

Chuck Week at GMMR!

So, I originally had my first encounter with givememy remote.com because of The Office. So glad I discovered it. It's like the city center for all TV blogging. Plus the folks over there get to go on all kinds of set visits and stuff. I think they should let me start writing for them. Wink wink. Nudge nudge.

Anyway, the peeps at GMMR love Chuck so much that they decided to make this week Chuck Week. They even revamped their header to reflect this awesome event. So it is temporarily known as GMMC. Give Me My Chuck. Rock on.

With Chuck Week, GMMR is pretty much doing what I'm doing here. Gathering as many supporters as possible and shoving it all in one place...but the Save Chuck campaign over there (aka Chuck vs. the Network Pick-Up) is still sharing space with all other TV shows on air right now. Hence my desire to devote an entire site to this endeavor. So check it.

Watch, Buy, Share, Write, WIN!

Ever since the build-up of Chuck's season 2 return, I've relied on ChuckTV.net for all my Chuck news needs. It's a great site with lots and lots of links to even more sites. Screencaps, promo pics, music info, exclusive interviews...all kinds of goodies over there. So if you haven't found it yet, shame on you.

But more importantly, they're running a contest right now called Watch, Buy, Share, Write, WIN! The contest stems from their orginal Watch, Buy, Share, Write Campaign to save Chuck. The premise? Watch the show. Buy the DVD, episodes on iTunes, etc. Share it with THE WORLD. Write letters to the NBC execs who are at least partially responsible for whether or not Chuck gets renewed. Pretty simple, really. Clink on the pic below to check it out.

Allow myself to introduce...myself. I'm Tessa. I'm a HUGE fan of Chuck. That's all that really matters for the purpose of this blog.

So here's what I'm thinking...there is all kind of "Save Chuck" stuff going on in various different places. Why not try to gather them together in one place? In other words, you can make this your source for all things "Save Chuck" until the day we hear that it is renewed for season 3. Sound good? Yes? Yes. Good.

So I'm gonna start by creating posts for some of the various stuff going on right at this moment, and will continue with any and all updates and new ideas that come along in the next few weeks.

If you've got any suggestions at all, let me know.
